Christmas Village

2022 christmas village

HELP MAKE THE HOLIDAYS BRIGHTER FOR FAMILIES IN NEED!
Support the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office Community Foundation
Christmas Village

Each December, the Foundation joins with community care providers and local business partners to host a “Christmas Village” to help provide a brighter holiday for children in foster care, as well as those who have faced abuse or neglect. Volunteers hold toy drives and raise funds to obtain thousands of toys, then set up a festive Christmas Village, complete with games, cookie decorating, crafts, and visits with Santa. While the children enjoy the activities, their parents and caregivers secretly shop for toys to help provide a bright Christmas morning. Families attending the event are by invitation only.

This event takes a great deal of planning and collaboration, and there are many ways in which you and your organization can help!

Volunteer!
Volunteers are needed for the day of the event on December 10, 2022. Some of the tasks include assisting with supervising the children's activities, gift wrapping, and assisting with "shopping" for gifts with the caregivers. Volunteer alone, bring your family, or get your company or group involved! Volunteers must be at least 16 years old and a background check is required.

Interested in helping with the 2022 Christmas Village? Please fill out the Registration Form or e-mail Melanie Rivera for details.

Donate toys!
Donate toys individually, or as a family, or encourage your company, church or civic group to put out boxes and have a toy drive! Our goal is to provide the families with quality toys for their children. We are in need of several thousand toys to reach this goal.
